WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass., August 12, 2015—Satyan Devadoss, professor of mathematics at Williams College and recent recipient of a John Templeton Foundation grant (for his “Mathematics, Dualism, and the Renaissance Revival” project), has been awarded the Deborah and Franklin Tepper Haimo Award for Distinguished Teaching of Mathematics, presented annually by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). He will receive the award at the Joint Mathematics Meeting in Seattle in January 2016.
